On tuesday, January 11 Chinantlan started the Campaign for the child workers from the streets of Chinandega. Together with the town hall of Chinandega, the youth-group "Somos Nicas", the organizations ProFamilia, Xochiquetzal and Plan Nicaragua and the tv-station canal 29 we realize this campaign to give over 400 child workers the possibility to visit the school.

Charity run in Chinandega

The first activity of the campign was a charity run through Chinandega. More than 100 volunteers collected during the run donations. Also the child workers and their parents helped in the collection.

Work during the whole year

We are working the whole year 2011 to find the 400 child workers in Chinandega to plan their time in the school. Furthermore we train 100 teachers from primary schools. The Foundation of the Partnership between Eindhoven and Chinandega and the town hall of Eindhoven upport the campaign with a donation of 60.000 $
